Comment: My Father, Joseph Nelson Hobson was born in Plaza on September 27, 1922. His Mother's name was Ida Caroline Sandstrom Hobson. She lived there in Plaza and moved to Williston in the 1920's/30/s period. Does anyone have any information about my Father, GrandMother or Grandfather, Nelson Hobson? Thanks for your help.

Comment: Plaza is planning to build a gazebo on the town common. There was one years ago. If anyone has a photograph of the earlier gazebo, the town is interested in using it as a reference in building a replica. We've been researching and requesting for a while, but to no avail. Please check your family albums for a photo or sketch of the old Plaza Gazebo that stood on the town common. Feel free to me and I will pass it along to the gazebo planners. Comment: How wonderful to find the Plaza website! Our father, Rev. S.C. Simundson was the Lutheran minister in Plaza when we were all born. He died in 1978 and our mother in 2002. All three of us, Marilyn, Judith, David, graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead. Judith and I became teachers (J:English; M:French/History). David was an ophthalmologist and now resides in Napa, CA. Judith and I live in Florida. We are all retired. It would be interesting to hear if anyone in Plaza remembers our family?!

Comment: My two siblings, Judy & David, and I were born when our parents lived in Plaza. Dad, Rev. S.C. Simundson, was the Lutheran minister and we lived in the parsonage. We are wondering if there is anyone still living in Plaza who remembers our family? Dad died in December 1978 in Arizona and Mother in May 2002 in Montana. David lives in California and is a retired ophthalmologist. Judith (Judy) and I both live in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We would love to hear from anyone who remembers our family!

Comment: I lived in Plaza from 1951 until 1961 when my family moved to Oregon. My wife Corin and I attended the 100th in 2006 and understand there may be something going on this year. We have not found anything yet, so probably not going to be there anyway but???

Comment: Hi all, Plaza resident and fifth generation plazonian. Plaza has a celebration every year over the weekend of the 20th in July. Plaza is a great place to live, and starting to come back to its former glory with the new high school opening and families moving back. There have been many small business reopening and florishing. I hope you visit our community and fall in love with it as much as all Plazonian's do.
