The City of Plaza Will Soon Ask for Your Help!

The State of North Dakota is working to get the lead out of the state’s drinking water pipes and the City of Plaza and its residents are being asked to help. Most of our water system is hidden from sight, whether it is buried underground or located within the walls of our homes.

Plaza utility staff are working with AE2S to determine if there is lead in any of the public water infrastructure that delivers water to properties. However, we will soon ask for your help to identify whether your home or business has lead pipes. It will be a simple test along with a

survey to log your results. If lead is found within the City’s public pipes or in private property, we will seek funding to remove and replace lead infrastructure.

Please watch for a letter with info rmation about the survey to arrive in January . We will need everyone’s assistance to accomplish this important task! The City of Plaza is committed to partnering with the community to ensure our water is lead free.

Funding for Plaza’s LCRR assistance is provided through a contractual agreement between the ND Department of Environmental Quality Drinking Water State Revolvoing Fund and AE2S.

The City of Plaza is home to approximately 200 residents. We offer all your basic needs in a quiet, friendly rural town. This website was launched to help reunite our residents and alumni before our 100th Celebration in 2006.

We are close to great outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, camping and swimming, as well as our neighboring Rock Museum in Parshall and Four Bears Casino in New Town. We also have the Plaza Museum, which has hundreds of exhibits that experience the past.

We have many organizations that you can get involved with to serve the community and the growth of our youth. We welcome you to our city and thank you for visiting.
